1 (a) What are the function of final drive? Explain hotch kiss and torque tube drive with neat sketch.(10 marks) 1 (b) Define the following:-
(i) Camber (ii) Castor (iii) King pin inclination (iv) Toe-in Toe-out (v) Cornering power

2 (a) What are the requirements of a braking system? Compare drum and disc brakes. Name various component with sketch.(10 marks) 2 (b) Explain the working of an electronic ignition system and its advantages over conventional system.(10 marks) 3 (a) Discuss radial and cross ply tyres. Explain various factors affecting tyre life.(10 marks) 3 (b) What is the critical speed of a propeller shaft? Explain the significance. Also explain with neat sketch various joints used to connect propeller shaft to final drive.(10 marks) 4 (a) Compare rigid axle Suspension and independent Suspension. Explain with neat sketches. Also discus objects of Suspension.(10 marks) 4 (b) Suggest suitable suspension system for the following category of vehicles.
i) Passenger Car
ii) 50 Seater Luxury bus.
