**1 (a)** The floor system shown below is subjected to live load of 3KN/m^{2} and floor finish lead of 1KN/m^{2}. Floor to flor height is 3.6 m and wall thickness is 230 mm. Use LSM & adopt concrete M20, steel Fe415 to design-(a) Slab s_{1} (b) Beam B_{2}-B_{3}-B_{4}. Also sketch the reinforcement details.

**1 (b)** Design a rectangular surface water tank of size 3.5 m× 3m. The tank is open at the top. Use approximate method of design. Adopt concrete M20, steel Fe415. Also sketch the reinforcement details.

**2** A cantilever type retaining wall is required to support leveled earth back fill. The height of wall above the general ground level is 4.5m. Design all the components using following additional data:

SBC of soil=160KN/m^{2}

Angle of repose=30°

Unit weight of earth fill=18KN/m^{2}

Friction coefficient between soil and concrete=0.55

Use concrete M20 & steel Fe415. Adopt LSM. Also draw complete, reinforcement details.

**3** A staircase hall admeasures 3.5m × 5m and the floor to floor height is 3m. Design a dog-legged stair case. The first flight start plinth beam to mid landing beam and the second flight starts from mid landing beam to the floor beam of upper storey. Use concrete M20 & steel of grade Fe415. Adopt LSM. Draw pian & sketch reinforcement details for both flights,

**4** Design a circular water tank for 450 kiloliters capacity. The tank is resting on the ground having fixed base and it is free at the top. The height of tank is restricted to 3.5 m. Use concrete M20 & steel of grade Fe415. Also draw reinforcement details. Use IS table for coefficients.

**5** Figure shows the layout of building columns resting on raft foundation. The outer corner columns are of size 450 mm × 450mm and carry load of 900 KN each & the inner columns are 600 mm × 600 mm and carry load of 1400 KN each. Consider SBC of soil as 110KN/m^{2}. Adopt concrete M25 and steel Fe415. Design slab and main beam only & draw reinforcement details.
