1.95 gm of a coal sample was taken for nitrogen estimation by Kjeldahis method.

% of Nitrogen:

= $\text{Volume of acid consumed} \times \text{Normality} \times \frac{1.4}{ \text{weight of coal sample} }$

= $9.5 \times 0.4 \times \frac{1.4}{1.95}$

$\therefore N \% = 2.72 \%$
