It uses 2 diodes.

Working:

During positive half cycle, the terminal A is positive wrt C and the terminal B is negative wrt c. Hence diode D1 is formed biased. Therefore current flows through diode D1 and RL.

During negative half cycle, the terminal B is positive wrt C and the terminal A is negative wrt C. Hence diode D2 is forward biased & current flows through diode D2 and RL. ∴ current flows through RL in both the half cycles.

Thus ac waveform is converted into dc and the circuit is called full wave rectifier.
