It draws upon specialized knowledge and skills in the mathematical, physical sciences together with the principles and methods of engineering analysis and design to predict and evaluate the results to be obtained from such systems.
Role of Industrial Engineer
i) Developing the simplest work methods and establishing one best way of doing the work (Standard Method).
ii) Establishing the performance standards as per the standard methods.
iii) To develop a sound wage and incentive schemes.
iv) To aid in the development and designing of a sound inventory control, determination of economic lot size and work-in-progress for each stage of production.
v) To assist and aid in preparing a detailed job description, and job specification for each job and to evaluate them.
