  • The minimum inclination possible on initial launch is equal to the latitude of the launch site $(λ)$.

$i_{min}= λ$

  • In Spherical right angled triangle ABC,

Using Napier’s rule:

$cos⁡i=cos⁡λ ∙sin⁡A_z $

To maximize cos⁡i , $sin⁡A_z=1$

$cos⁡ i_{min}= cos⁡λ $

$∴ i_{min}= λ$
