The satellite TV receiving systems comes under broadcast satellite services (BSS)

A small aperture antennas mounted directly at premises operating on 12.2 to 12.7 GHz range. This signal has to be down-converted to 950 to 1400 MHz using local oscillator circuit.

The TV programs utilizes standard 500 MHz bandwidth for its operation.A low noise block converter is used for this purpose.

12.2 to 12.7 GHz is demodulated to get IF 500 MHz and remodulated at 950 to 1400 MHz by two noise block converter.

This signal at 950 to 1400 MHz signal is then further provided direct to home television receiver set.
