  • Since the Voltage gain of Common Source JFET is given by the equation

$A_v=-g_mR_D$

  • The transconductance is given by the equation

$g_m=-2\dfrac{I_{DSS}}{V_P}\dfrac{\sqrt{I_D}}{\sqrt{I_{DSS}}}=\dfrac{-0.16}{3}\dfrac{(0.0616)}{(0.0894)}=-0.0367$

  • Hence substituting the Transconductance in above equation we have the Voltage gain as

$A_V=0.0367\times1800=66.06$

The  input impedance is given by

$R_i=R_G$

Hence the input impedane is given by the equation

$R_i=1m\Omega$

The Output impedance is given by the equation

$R_o=R_D$

Hence the Output impedance is 

$R_o=1.8K\Omega$
