MAC means Media Access Control address.

• It is 48 bit long , mac address placed in network interface card (NIC card) in the CPU , 48 bit mac address divided into two part first 24 bit for manufacturing define and remaining 24 bit for user define , starting 24 bit can not be change but user define 24 bit change with the help of Linux command mac changer -m or $/sbin/ifconfing-a/grep HW address.
• With the help of mac address easy to identify the computer location , online banking hackers identified with the help of MAC address
