Subject: our order no. 20/tk/56 for grains

We have placed an order for 70 bags of rice and 50 bags of wheat on 1stfeb 20XX. Today we received the consignment and found shortage of 40 rice bags and 10 wheat bags.

As we have regularly placed orders with you, we are unhappy with your service as it even got delayed too. This has put us in a bad situation as we are unable to cater to our costumer’s high demand.

We would appreciate if the remaining consignment of the shortaged goods arrives within five days else 20% will be deducted from the balance payment for the delay.

We hope you will act immediately on the short supply so that our goodwill with your company is not affected.
