Total Internal Reflection:- It is a phenomenon that happens when a light wave travelling from denser medium towards the rarer medium strikes the medium boundary at an angle larger than critical angle causing it to reflect back in the same medium.
Numerical Aperture:- It is a dimensionless number that characteristics the range of angles over which the optical fibre can accept the light.
Acceptance Angle:- The maximum angle w.r.t. the axis of the optical fibre for which the light will propagate through the fibre is called acceptance angle.
