Water is the most important element of the biosphere which is essential for the existence of all forms of life.
Water is a renewable resource and its availability depends upon the climate, geo-graphical and physical conditions, affordable technological solutions and the efficiency with which water is conserved and used.
In a civilized society, the human activities and economic development are dependent upon water.
Water is getting depleted due to following reasons listed below-
Global warming
Collecting solid wastes instead of flushing with cleaning water;
Increasing efficiency of water use through "good housekeeping”
Reuse of purified waste water for some of the cleaning operation
Irrigation for Feed Production - in competition with other local demands for crop production and reducing downstream flows and downstream water quality;
Water for Animal Production - consumption and cleaning livestock housing; and
Water for Processing Animal Products - used in industrial processing animal and waste disposal.
