Gearbox is a combination of gears & gear trains in a box. Gearbox is used for maintain speed ratio in all different condition like load, speed. Gear box is used in automobile to get different speed ratio, velocity ratio & torque ratio. The following types of gearbox are :
i) Sliding mesh gearbox
ii) Constant mesh gearbox
ii) Synchromesh gearbox
iv) Epicyclic gearbox
v) Differential gearbox
