find the natural frequency by Dunkerleys method
| written 7.9 years ago by | modified 3.7 years ago by |
20N at 30cm, 30N at 60cm, 10N at 100cm from the fixed end are loading on the cantilever. The deflection under 30N load due to all loads is 2 mm. what would be the natural frequency of transverse vibration if 20N is added at 80 cm from the fixed end. Also find the natural frequency by Dunkerley’s method. The deflection at section “I” due to unit load at section “j” is given by – $U_{ij} = u_{ji} = \frac{S_j^2(3S_j - s_i)}{constant ''c''}$
for $s_i \gt s_j$ where “s” is the distance from the fixed end.
