A Strong Password is defined as a password that is reasonably difficult to guess in a short period of time either through human guessing or the use of specialized software.


Some good practices used for Password management : -

  • Never reveal your passwords to others.
  • Use different passwords for different accounts.
  • Use multi-factor authentication (MFA).
  • Length trumps complexity.
  • Make passwords that are hard to guess but easy to remember.
  • Complexity still counts.
  • Use a password manager.
  • Use of account lockouts for bad passwords, with a limit of 5 or fewer bad attempts
