Definition of ILD: Graph showing, for any beam, frame or truss, the variation of any force or displacement quantity( SF, BM, tension, deflection) for all position of a moving unit load as it crosses the structure from one ed to the other.

Importance: ILD is very useful in quickly determining the force component at any given point due to a set of moving loads useful for analysis and design of bridges, subjected to moving load.
