iii) e=0.88, G=2.71, $W_{s}$=?

$s_{d}=\frac{G\gamma_{w}}{1+e} = \frac{2.71 \times 1}{1+0.88}$=1.44g/c.c

$W_{s}=\frac{s_{w}}{S_{d}}=\frac{1}{G}=\frac{1}{1.44}-\frac{1}{2.71}$=0.325 i.e 32.5%
