Knowledge based agents can be described at different levels:

Knowledge base and Inference Engine

Knowledge Level:

It is a base level of an agent, which consists of domain-specific content. It contains facts/information about surrounding environment in which they are working.

Implementation level:

In this level, agents can recognize data structures used in knowledge base and algorithms which use them.
