Consider the full wave rectifier circuit. shows in Fig.Ex.1.17

i) Average Output Voltage
$V_{dc}$=100 V
$V_{dc}=I_{dc}\times R_{L}$
$\frac{2I_{m}\times R_{L}}{\pi}=\frac{2V_{m}}{\pi}$
$V_{m}=(\pi)/2=V_{dc}$
=157.08 V
ii) Voltage across secondary $2V_{m}$=314.16 V ...............(i)
iii)Transformer ratings
rms secondary voltage=222.14 V ..............(ii)
Transformer secondary voltage 111-0-111 V .................(iii)
$I_{dc}=\frac{2I_{m}}{\pi}=\frac{2}{\pi}\times \frac{V_{m}}{R_{L}}$=0.667 mA
iv)Average current through each diode
$\frac{I_{dc}}{2}$=0.33mA ..................(iv)
v)Peak current through each diode=1.04 mA ...........................(v)
