NAND Gate

The truth table and symbol of the NAND gate is as shown below. The two inputs are A and B.

The above diagrams makes it clear that the combination of NAND and NOR Gates can result into any of the basic gates (AND, OR and NOT Gates). Hence, NAND and NOR Gates are called as Universal Gates.
