The hydraulic cranes are used for lifting and shifting of heavy loads. The velocity of load is greater than the velocity of effort thus requiring greater effort it is obtained by using a hydraulic jigger it consists of a fixed cylinder 'D' housing a sliding plunger in it on side of the fixed cylinder and sliding plunger pulleys in a row are attached. The fixed cylinder has one leg E attached. A chain or steel rope is wound round all the pulleys on the plunger and cylinder. End of the rope is fixed on the lig 'E' while the free end of the rope is to be attached to any closed like crane or lift. The pulleys magnify the movement of the plunger. The jigger can be used in horizontal or vertical position
