Given Data:

Front View = a’b’ = 50 mm

α = 45°

A is 10 mm above HP = a’ (↑) = 10 mm

A is 20 mm in front of VP = a (→) = 20 mm

Φ = 45°

Follow the procedure given below step by step to draw the projection of line:

  1. Draw XY line.

  2. Mark a’ and a at 10 mm above XY line and 20 mm below XY line respectively.

  3. Draw horizontal line (Locus of a’ and a) from a’ and a respectively.

  4. Draw the FV of given length 50 mm at an angle of 45° from point a’. Mark end point b’.

  5. Join a’b’ (FV).

  6. Taking a’ as centre and a’b’ as radius draw an arc which will cut the locus of a’ (horizontal line passing through a’), mark that point b2’.

  7. Join a’b2’ is elevationn length (EL).

  8. Take the projection of b2’ into TV (Draw a vertical line from point b2’).

  9. Draw a line from point a at angle of 45°(inclination with VP) which will cut the projection line, mark that point b2. enter image description here

  10. Join ab2 (TL in TV).

  11. Draw the locus of b through point b2.

  12. Take the projection of b’ into TV which will cut the locus of b, mark that point b

  13. Join ab (TV)

  14. Taking a as centre and ab as radius draw an arc which will cut the locus of a, mark that point b1, ab1 is plan length (PL).

  15. Take the projection of 1’ into FV which will cut the locus of b’, mark that point b1’.

  16. Join a’b1’ (TL in FV).
