Question: What is the difference between congestion control and flow control?

|When too many packets are present in a part of a subnet, the performance degrades. This situation is called congestion.||The receiver will keep losing some of the frames simply because they are arriving too quickly, the solution to this problem is to introduce the flow control.|
|Congestion control makes t sure that the subnet is able to carry the offended traffic.||Flow control is related to point to point traffic.|
|Congestion control is dependent on the behavior of all the hosts, all the routers and other factors which reduce the carrying capacity of a subnet.||Flow control involves some kind of feedback.|
