$ \text{Defect spoilage} = \frac{\text{ sum of defects } \times \text{defect age}}{ \text{total no. of defects} }$

$= \frac{(34 \times 2 + 25 \times + 17 \times 5 + 10 \times 6)}{34 + 25 + 17 + 10}$

$= 3.64$
