Circuit Diagram of Bridge Rectifier:
- Here, during positive half cycle, the diodes D1 and D3 are forward biased and the diodes D2 and D4 are reverse biased.
- Whereas, during the negative half cycle, diodes D2 and D4 are forward biased and the diodes D1 and D3 are reverse biased.
The current flows in both half cycles of ac supply and hence we get output voltage during both half cycles of ac supply.
