  • In this configuration, the input is applied between the base and the emitter of a transistor and the output is taken between collector and emitter.
  • The name Common-Emitter is given to this arrangement as Emitter is common to Input and Output ports of the circuit.
  • The input current is IB and the output current is IC. The input voltage is VBE and the output voltage is VCE.
