(i) Angle of friction (Φ): It is the angle between the normal reaction and resultant of normal reaction and frictional force.

(ii) Angle of repose (θ): It is the minimum angle of inclination of the plane for which the body kept on it will start to slide down without any external force.

(iii) Numerically, Φ=θ
