FERROUS METAL	NON-FERROUS METAL
Contain iron as a component.	Do not contain iron.
All except stainless steel are corrosive.	Non corrosive.
Show magnetic properties	Do not show magnetic properties
Not much expensive due to higher supply.	Expensive due to reduced supply
Most are heavy weight metals.	Most are low weight metals
