Licensed Band	Unlicensed Band
License is required to be purchased for spectrum use and it is not free.	License is free in unlicensed band.
In licensed band the medium can be accessed or used only by the owner of the license	In unlicensed band anyone can use the unlicensed spectrum and its medium.
Cost is high in license band	Cost is less or nearly free in unlicensed band
It is not used mostly	It is available everywhere
It has Low scalability	It is scalable
Examples of Freq band used: 700 MHz, 800 MHz, 1.8 GHz, 2.6 GHz, 3.5 GHz etc.	Examples of freq band used: 2.4 GHz, 5.8 GHz, 60 GHz
Each frequency is typically dedicated for a specific use	Each frequency can used for multiple purposes
