Solve the following sequencing problem. Determine minimum elapsed time. Also determine idle time for machines A, B and C. (Time in min.) -

Using Johnson’s algorithm to determine sequence of jobs:

Minimum elapsed time = 52mins

Idle times:

Machine A: 52 – 42 = 10mins

Machine B: 3 + 6-5 + 18-15 + 26-21 + 33-30 + 42-35 + 52-43 = 31mins

Machines C: 5mins
